Hello,
I’ve spent the last several days in and out of bed. Most of the time I’ve been dozing and reading. I’m addicted to Wicked and I like the Witch of the West—she’s really nice in this book! Alison and Lisa: There are not that many talking animals. It’s more of a political thing—hard to explain!
I’ve been a bit of a recluse in the last few days but it’s allowed me some serious quality time with my kids. They come upstairs to see if I need anything and we end up having some pretty good conversations.
Things have been mellow around here—not much to report.
We spent the better part of Saturday at Cat and Bill’s house. They have a great egg hunt for the kids and serve quite a spread for brunch.
We spent Easter with Kerry and Jay. They had a great brunch and we spent several hours just hanging out with them.
I go today for my CT scan. I also have to go and have blood work done and get my Procrit shot. I’ve been more tired than the past two cycles. I’m wondering if it’s just a cumulative effect or if my red blood cell count has gone down. As I mentioned, the Procrit could take 3- 4 shots to work (I’ll have my second today) and I’ll have them once a week.
I have to thank Rob and Alison Vigeant for a great meal on Thursday night. The meals have been such a life saver for Greg and the kids. I couldn’t even think about preparing a meal on the weeks I have treatment. Well, I could as long as it was only cereal (and believe me, I consider breakfast food to a perfect dinner time choice!!!).
I’ll probably write more tonight or tomorrow morning. Thank you all for your continued support.
Love,
Kim
